Preliminary Research

This will be the preliminary research for my component 3 project.

As it was - Harry Styles	Pop Colourful Happy Cheerful	Men are shown to be less dominant in a relationship Going in circles in a relationship		I like the creativity of the background
Zombie - Jamie T	Indie Acoustic Minimum budget Peaceful Tranquil	Zombies Different stereotypes of people going to bars They should have carede about the performance which implies how people go to the bar to do their own thing.		I like the makeup of the band.
Blinding Lights - The Weekend	RnB Romantic scenes Emotional	Masculinity in men is shown better. Driving sports car Violence Smoking The music video represents teenagers as that is how we would drive a sports car		I like the colours of the music video using bright lights to relate to the title blinding lights.
Now and Then- The Beatles	Rock Drunk people Chaos A group of band Cowboy vibes	How strong their friendship bond is It shows how the 4 of them were already a group ever since a child. This was shown using a picture.		They used Ai to help them make this Music video. They used items related to each band member.

This research helped me understand the typical conventions of not just 1 genre but the common conventions of other music video genres. this helps me with when we were needed to plan our music video and choose a song. The conventions of every genre matters as it helps us choose which genre we wanted it to be. This preliminary research is as effective as our genre research as although mostly the same we were able to finalise the genre of our music video due to this blogpost.
